2. West Memphis, Arkansas
The second cheapest gas in the state as of November 2023 is in West Memphis, Arkansas. Coincidentally, West Memphis is southerly neighbors with Marion, and even closer to the Tennessee town of Memphis. West Memphis offers gallons of gas for $2.66 each, again offering you massive savings against the state and national averages. The population of West Memphis is just under 25,000 residents, and there’s lots to explore in the city. Interestingly enough, despite the state border, West Memphis is still a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee.
3. Jonesboro, Arkansas
The city of Jonesboro, Arkansas also offers fantastic gas savings. It’s in the northeast corner of the state and gallons of gas go for $2.67 apiece. Compared to the state average of $3.48, that’s a substantial difference! The city is home to Arkansas State University, which sees around 14,000 students annually. Arkansas State is known for its nursing program, as well as its agri-business degrees. The university is the second-largest in the state of Arkansas. Paragould is a mid-size city, with a population of just under 30,000 residents. Paragould’s location puts it in great proximity to both Tennessee and Missouri, so if you’re coming or going to either of those states after you explore Arkansas, fill up in Paragould! Expect to pay $2.85 per gallon, as opposed to the $3.48 state average you may pay in many other places in Arkansas. Searcy is another mid-size city with a rich history. 6. Little Rock, Arkansas
Surprisingly, the biggest city in Arkansas has some amazing gas prices! While folks might expect gas to be more expensive in the city, you can find gallons for $2.85 apiece. Little Rock is the capital of Arkansas and a fantastic place to explore, so it’s likely that you’ll want to stop here on your trip around the state. 7. Trumann, Arkansas
Not far from a few of the prior cities on this list is Trumann, Arkansas. Also located in the northeast portion of the state, Trumann has some great gas prices. The city is fairly small, with a population of under 8,000 residents.
