Two things in life are permanent: death and taxes. And in America, that is very true. Everyone and everything pays taxes. Just like people can receive money every year after they do their taxes, they can also pay hefty amounts. When it comes to states, the same is true. States receive federal funding, which they include in their state budgets for a variety of things. States also give money from the taxes people pay. It’s a two-way street, but that street is not created equal. Some states receive more money than they pay and other states pay more than they receive.

Let’s take a look at the federal taxes each state pays along with some information to the point. If you want further information, you can look at the IRS website.
